Restaurant Aure
In 2024, Restaurant Aure opened on Refshaleøen, and just 81 days after opening, they were awarded a Michelin star.
Restaurant Aure, an old gunpowder house from the 18th century, was an instant hit with the critics. Just 81 days after opening, the ultimate honour came in the form of a Michelin star. Furthermore, the 29-year-old owner and chef Nicky Arentsen received the prestigious Young Chef Award.
Nicky Arentsen is no stranger to the Michelin universe, having previously worked at Babette, AOC, Henne Kirkeby Kro, and Jordnær. However, with Restaurant Aure, he has created his own culinary universe, where seafood, fish, and, if the season allows, game are on the menu.
For Nicky Arentsen, good ingredients and careful preparation are just as important as the atmosphere of the restaurant. Guests will experience an attentive and fun environment, which in the historic setting is the perfect setting for the 35 guests to experience the magic that takes place at Restaurant Aure.
You won't find an a la carte menu at Restaurant Aure, but two set menus consisting of 4 and 7 courses, respectively. Both will give an insight into Nicky Arentsen's thoughts and feelings and represent what Restaurant Aure stands for: Magnificent gastronomic experiences, great ingredients, and a fantastic atmosphere.
